Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information CustomCheck (“we”, “us”) collects through this website, why we collect it, who else processes it, and the choices you have. It covers this website only.
Information you give us
Quote and contact requests. When you submit the form on our contact page, we collect your name and email address, and — if you choose to provide them — your company, phone number, shipment origin and destination, shipment type, cargo type and message. If you arrived from an advertisement, we also store the campaign name from that link (including a Google click identifier, when present) so we know which ad the enquiry came from. We use this only to respond to your enquiry and to provide the services you ask about.
Customs AI assistant and AI suggestions. Messages you type into the chat assistant, any shipment details you add to it, and product descriptions you submit for AI suggestions in the HS Code Finder are sent to our AI provider to generate a reply. Please don't include personal or confidential information in them. We do not save these conversations on our servers.
Calculators and other tools. The duty calculator, document checker, shipment tracker and the keyword search in the HS Code Finder work on what you type without asking who you are. If you choose “get a quote” from one of them, the shipment details you already entered are copied into the contact form so you can edit them. They are saved only if you submit that form.
Information collected automatically
Server logs. Like most websites, our server records basic technical details of requests (such as IP address, time and page requested). We use IP addresses briefly to limit abuse of our forms and AI features, and we keep a log copy of quote requests so an enquiry isn't lost if delivery fails.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. If you accept analytics cookies, it collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived, and sets cookies to tell visits apart. If you decline, or don't answer, no analytics cookies are set and your visits are not linked together; Google Analytics then receives only basic, cookieless signals (such as that a page was viewed, with the time and browser type), which Google uses to estimate overall traffic.
Spam protection. The contact page loads Google reCAPTCHA, which assesses whether a submission comes from a person or an automated program. To do that, it collects hardware and software information such as device and application data and sends it to Google. This is necessary to keep the form usable, so it does not depend on the analytics choice.
Cookies and your choices
We don't use advertising cookies. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them in the cookie notice, and your choice is remembered in your browser. You can change it at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of any page.
Who processes your information
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the providers that run parts of this site:
- Google Sheets (Google Workspace) — stores quote and contact requests so our team can respond.
- Google Gemini API — generates replies for the Customs AI assistant and AI suggestions in the HS Code Finder.
- Google reCAPTCHA — spam protection on the contact form.
- Google Analytics — site usage statistics; cookies only with your consent.
- Our hosting provider — runs the server this website is served from.
Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. These providers may process information in countries other than your own. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond and to manage any resulting business relationship, and then for as long as record-keeping obligations require. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. Analytics data is retained according to the retention setting of our Google Analytics property.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent you have given. To make a request, email us at the address below. If you are unhappy with our response, you may also be able to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This website is intended for businesses and adults, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
